Time Out City Hotel Vienna

My experience at Time Out Hotel Vienna was incredibly disappointing. Upon checking in, I immediately realized the numerous issues that plagued my stay. Firstly, there was no shower on the same floor, which was a major inconvenience. Additionally, having only one toilet per floor without a sink and lacking cleaning products was highly unsanitary and uncomfortable. The internet connection was abysmal, making it nearly impossible to stay connected or get any work done. What was even more frustrating was the lack of air conditioning throughout the entire hotel, including the rooms. The mattress and pillow were hard and paper thin. This made for an uncomfortable and sleepless stay, especially during warm weather. To my surprise, there was no fridge available anywhere in the hotel to keep food cool, which is a basic amenity that most hotels/hostels provide. What added to the frustration was the lack of staff to address these concerns. The front desk was hardly attended, and during my time in the lobby, I witnessed new guests struggling and complaining about their inability to check-in smoothly. The management's response to my dissatisfaction was equally disappointing. When I asked to cancel my reservation before staying any of the nights, they refused. Instead, they offered me one more night in a supposedly better room to persuade me to stay, only to later request that I check out on my original departure date. This inconsistency and lack of proper communication demonstrate a clear lack of professionalism and proper management. Overall, my experience at Time Out Hotel Vienna was marred by a series of inconveniences, poor amenities, and inadequate management. I would strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as it does not meet the basic standards of comfort, cleanliness, and customer service that one would expect from a hotel.

First of all, the owner is quite friendly and personable. This is very important in my opinion. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. I was nervous about the share bathroom and shower, but there was never a problem. There was no queue and I used them when I wanted. I had a single bed which was very comfortable for sleeping. There's a tv in the room, but I didn't watch it. There a mirror and sink, so perfect for washing up. There's no air conditioner or fan in the room. So, I don't recommend it in hot summers if you're sensitive to heat. It didn't get very hot so it was Ok for me. 2 days luckily it rained or cooled down, so it wasn't too bad. But like most of Vienna, there's no relief from the heat outside when you go inside. My best advice: visit in the spring or fall and you're sure to love the accommodations. The hotel is in a perfect location, good price, and good, clean room. Just bring earplugs because you'll hear all the bar noise if your window is open or if you have neighbors who want to have late night-all night "fun" next door. Haha

I stayed here with my mum for 4 days and we had a fantastic stay. Yes the hotel is pretty basic but it does what it says on the tin, you have a comfy clean bed, a clean bathroom and a secure locking door. The location is second to non, making it the perfect location! Heimo, the host is fabulous. So kind and friendly, very helpful. I highly recommend for those who need a base to stay and go explore!

I had a very pleasant stay here. Everything was just as I expected. I got a solo room with no attached bathroom. The room was tiny but there was sufficient space for my things. It didn't feel cramped. There was also a hanging space for my clothes. The bed was small yet comfy. I really love the big window in my room because it added a lot of brightness. The common bathroom and toilet, as well as the common areas were clean. The location was nice as there were many restaurants and shops in the area. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. And they were able to let me check in early. Overall, great service.

The hotel is very honest in its description and facilities, so I got exactly what I was expecting. The room we chose, with en suite shower/toilet was great. Spacious enough for two adults and a toddler, great light and clean. We didn't really need more as we were out all day and the room was comfortable for our needs. Staff was very polite and friendly too and made check in fast and easy. Location was fantastic.
